Overwatch 2 has officially unveiled its G.I. Joe collaboration, featuring five themed character skins arriving July 1 and available until July 14. Players can look forward to Snake Eyes Genji, Scarlett Freja, Destro Doomfist, Baroness Widowmaker, and Cobra Commander Reaper. Along with these skins, a limited-time in-game event will also go live to celebrate the crossover and allow fans to dive into G.I. Joe–inspired content.
The crossover event will include not only character cosmetics like voice lines, highlight intros, and player icons but also themed challenges. Throughout the event, players can participate in Quick Play, Competitive, or Stadium matches to earn G.I. Joe rewards such as sprays, a weapon charm, and 25,000 Battle Pass XP. Pricing for the skins has not been officially announced yet, but they will likely cost 2,500 Overwatch Coins per bundle, with a Mega Bundle option priced around 5,900 coins.
Beyond this collaboration, Overwatch 2 is also celebrating Season 17 with additional perks like free loot boxes and Epic Twitch Drops. From now until July 7, players can receive loot boxes through Twitch, as well as up to four more Epic loot boxes by completing in-game challenges as part of the Powered Up event. While the G.I. Joe skins themselves won’t appear in loot boxes, other crossover cosmetics from franchises like World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo may drop.
