During the Combo Breaker tournament finals, Bandai Namco announced that Muay Thai fighter Fahkumram will join Tekken 8 on July 7 for Season 2 Character Pass owners, with a full release on July 10. They also revealed that the fan-favorite wrestler Armor King will return as a Fall 2025 DLC character.
These announcements come after a rough patch for Tekken 8, following the poorly received Season 2 update. In response to community backlash, the game reverted to its original balance team, now led by Kohei “Nakatsu” Ikeda. Bandai Namco has since rolled out multiple emergency patches and issued public apologies to address the player dissatisfaction.
The upcoming Patch 2.03 will include Fahkumram's new story chapter, costumes, and gameplay adjustments. With Armor King set to return later this year, fans are hopeful that Tekken 8 can regain its momentum and stabilize its competitive scene as more content and balance improvements roll out.
