Elden Ring Nightreign has revealed its latest playable class, Raider, in anticipation of the game’s upcoming release. Nightreign is a co-op multiplayer experience where players are teamed up in groups of three to explore a shifting version of Limgrave over three in-game days, with the ultimate objective of defeating the Nightlord. This new class follows the reveal of other heroes, each with distinct abilities, offering players a variety of playstyles within the game.
The game features eight launch characters, known as Nightfarers, who have fixed appearances and serve as their own classes. Unlike traditional Souls games, players cannot customize their characters but can build out their abilities based on the weapons they choose to wield. So far, six characters have been revealed, including Wylder, Guardian, Recluse, Duchess, Ironeye, and now Raider. Each character offers a unique set of abilities, creating a diverse roster for players to experiment with during gameplay.
Raider, the latest class revealed, is a heavy hero equipped with a massive hammer and has abilities that benefit both himself and his teammates. One of his major abilities allows him to raise himself to higher ground, granting his allies better positioning for ranged attacks. This feature makes Raider particularly useful in co-op play, as his abilities can complement those of other heroes, like Ironeye and Recluse. With two more heroes left to be revealed, fans can expect further updates leading up to the game’s May 30 launch.
