The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered PC Requirements and Features Unveiled
Published 21 Mar 2025
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is finally making its way to PC, giving fans a chance to see if their hardware can handle it. While PlayStation players have had access to the remaster since early 2024, the PC release has taken longer. With its April 3, 2025, launch approaching, Naughty Dog has revealed the game’s system requirements and features, ensuring players know what to expect before its arrival.

Naughty Dog confirmed the PC version’s specs on March 20, revealing a range of performance options. On the lower end, the game runs at 720p and 30 FPS, while the highest settings push it to 4K at 60 FPS—though achieving peak performance will require powerful hardware like an RTX 4080 or RX 7900XT with 32GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the minimum requirements are more accessible, requiring only a GTX 1650 or RX 5500XT and 16GB of RAM. These specifications align closely with the PS5 Pro enhancements, ensuring a high-quality experience across platforms.

The PC port also includes various optimizations, such as support for frame generation, Nvidia and AMD upscaling, and ultra-widescreen aspect ratios up to 48:9. Players can adjust visual settings like texture, shadow, and ambient occlusion quality, while keyboard and mouse users benefit from full key remapping and hybrid control options. Additionally, DualSense controller users will experience full haptic feedback support. Naughty Dog also announced log-in bonuses for those linking their PSN accounts, including an exclusive Ellie skin and 50 bonus points to spend in-game.
