Gameloft has revealed details for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s upcoming paid DLC, The Storybook Vale, set to launch later in 2024. Since its release in September 2022, the game has grown steadily, receiving both paid and free updates. Currently, players are engaged in the Trick or Treat event, where they distribute candy to residents in exchange for Halloween-themed rewards until October 31.
The Storybook Vale DLC will be released in two parts, with the first launching on November 20 for $29.99. This expansion introduces a new land called the Vale, featuring three biomes—The Bind, Everafter, and Mythopia. The storyline continues from the A Rift in Time arc, requiring players to join forces with characters Merida and Flynn Rider to protect these biomes from Hades using a new item, the Royal Rod. A second part of the expansion, The Unwritten Realms, will be released in 2025. Early buyers will receive dark academia-themed clothing, while a $49.99 Magical Edition will offer extra outfits, an Autumn Manor House, a Hercules-themed house, and 10,000 Moonstones.
Besides the DLC, free content is also planned for December 4. The "Sew Delightful" update will introduce Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas as a new villager with unique quests and themed decor. Additionally, players will gain access to The Floating Islands, providing more space for design and storage. Throughout 2025, free updates will continue, featuring new characters like Jasmine and Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland quests, and more content inspired by Peter Pan.
