Overwatch 2 has announced a new collaboration with My Hero Academia, adding five new Legendary skins to the game. This crossover expands Overwatch 2's growing list of partnerships with iconic Japanese pop culture, following past collaborations with One-Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop. The One-Punch Man crossover featured characters like Doomfist as Saitama and Genji as Genos, while the Cowboy Bebop event saw Ashe as Faye Valentine and Cassidy as Spike Spiegel.
The latest crossover introduces My Hero Academia skins available from October 17-30, featuring Tracer as Deku, Reinhardt as All Might, and Juno as Uraraka. Villains are also represented, with Reaper getting a skin based on Tomura Shigaraki and Kiriko as Himiko Toga. These skins will be available in a mega bundle through the in-game shop, which also includes additional cosmetics like sprays and a weapon charm, although Blizzard has yet to reveal specific details about the extra items.
Fans of Overwatch 2 have eagerly embraced the My Hero Academia crossover, with many sharing their excitement on social media and suggesting alternative skin ideas. Players proposed characters like Bakugo for Junkrat or Frog Girl for Lucio, while also celebrating Juno finally receiving her first skin in the game. The crossover adds to the diverse roster of skins released in Overwatch 2's Season 12, which has included themes like Egyptian mythology.
