Trade-In-Program (TIP) FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

The Trade-In-Program (TIP) allows customers to resell their collectibles through ToyPanic via three flexible options:

  • Instant Cash Payout – Receive a direct cash trade-in offer
  • Panic Points – Receive higher value in store credit

This program is designed to give collectors a convenient, secure, and trusted platform to trade, resell, and upgrade their collections without the hassle of managing private buyers, uncertain payment arrangements, or marketplace risks.

ToyPanic may accept a wide range of collectibles, including but not limited to:

  • Action figures
  • Statues
  • Designer toys
  • Anime figures
  • Bearbricks
  • Hot Toys
  • POP! Vinyl
  • Model kits
  • Selected limited-edition collectibles

Acceptance is subject to ToyPanic’s review based on item condition, authenticity, market demand, resale potential, and overall suitability for the program.

No. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. ToyPanic reserves the right to decline any item that does not meet internal trade-in or Rent-A-Shelf standards.

Items may be rejected if they are:

  • Counterfeit, imitation, or unauthentic
  • Heavily damaged or poorly maintained
  • Missing essential parts, accessories, or packaging
  • In poor resale condition
  • Low in market demand
  • Overproduced or difficult to resell
  • Not aligned with ToyPanic’s quality or category standards

ToyPanic reserves the sole discretion to determine item eligibility.

TRADE-IN VALUATION

ToyPanic’s trade-in valuation generally starts at 40% to 80% of the original Suggested Retail Price (SRP), depending on the item’s resale potential.

Example:

If the original SRP is RM400, the base trade-in offer may be RM300 (75%).

Final valuation is determined based on several factors, including:

  • Item condition
  • Packaging condition
  • Completeness
  • Authenticity
  • Product rarity
  • Market demand
  • Current resale market value
  • Sell-through potential

ToyPanic reserves the right to revise valuation based on final inspection.

Possibly. Damaged items may still be accepted at ToyPanic’s discretion, but the final valuation may be reduced depending on the severity of the damage.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Box tears
  • Dents
  • Scratches
  • Paint defects
  • Discoloration
  • Missing accessories
  • Loose joints
  • Broken parts

Items with severe structural damage, major defects, or poor resale potential may be rejected.

Original packaging is highly recommended and may significantly improve valuation, especially for collectors’ items where packaging affects resale demand.

Items without original packaging may still be accepted, but valuation may be reduced based on:

  • Condition
  • Completeness
  • Collectibility
  • Protection during handling
  • Market demand

For certain premium collectibles, original packaging may be required.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Customers may choose one of the following three payout options:

  1. Cash – Standard trade-in payout
  2. Panic Points – Higher value store credit
  3. Collector Rent-A-Shelf – Sell at your preferred price through ToyPanic

Each option offers different benefits depending on whether the customer prioritizes speed, value, or resale flexibility.

The Cash option provides customers with a direct trade-in payout based on ToyPanic’s approved valuation.

Example:

  • SRP: RM400
  • Approved Trade-In Offer: RM300
  • Customer Receives: RM300 Cash

This option is best suited for customers who prefer immediate payout and a faster transaction process.

Payment processing timelines may vary depending on operational review and payout method.

Customers who choose Panic Points receive a higher value return compared to the standard cash option.

Example:

  • Cash Value: RM300
  • Panic Points Bonus: +10%
  • Customer Receives: RM330 in Panic Points

Depending on item category, demand, and promotional eligibility, Panic Points may offer 5% to 20% more value than the cash option.

Panic Points can be used for future purchases within the ToyPanic ecosystem and are ideal for collectors planning to upgrade or trade into other items.

No. Panic Points are strictly non-cash, non-transferable store credit.

Panic Points are:

  • Non-transferable
  • Non-refundable
  • Not exchangeable for cash
  • Not redeemable outside ToyPanic
  • Subject to ToyPanic’s membership and rewards terms

Customers are encouraged to review applicable Panic Points usage terms before confirming this option.
