PATLABOR the Case Files is set in a near-future world where giant industrial robots known as “Labors” have become essential to construction and civil engineering. As their use spreads, crimes involving these machines increase rapidly, forcing authorities to adapt.
To counter this threat, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police establishes the Special Vehicle Section 2 Patrol Labor Unit—also known as Patlabor. Players follow their missions as they respond to escalating Labor-related incidents, ranging from rogue machines to organized attacks.
The game retells iconic moments from the Mobile Police Patlabor anime and films while adding interactive elements. Players experience the story from two perspectives: as the police unit maintaining order, and as opposing forces in “Another Side Missions,” offering a broader view of the conflict.
