Takara Tomy's "Missing Link" action-figure lineup brings us "Transformers" figures that might have been! For example, what if the first Bumblebee figure released had been fully posable? This new figure of Bumblebee has the same size, transformation pattern, and basic structure as the original toy, with its joints updated for posing and updated gimmicks from the animated version. Even the compact box-shaped packaging and Styrofoam tray pay homage to the era, and it'll make you feel the same sense of excitement of opening a "Tranformers" toy back in the 1980s!
Bumblebee, the face of the "Minibots" corps of small Transformers, transforms from his robot mode to a Volkswagen Beetle, with his car mode commercialized with an official license from Volkswagen. Although the original toy had only limited posability, each joint has now been changed to make the figure fully posable. A newly modeled laser gun with brilliant plating is included as a reproduction from the anime version, and it can be stored inside the figure in car mode. The familiar "secret emblem" is also attached to the robot form, and when you warm it with your fingertip, the army mark will appear! Foil stickers for the Cybertron mark and chest mecha details are also included. A joint hole for a stand has been added to Bumblebee's back, too, so he can be displayed in action poses (stand is not included). The package illustration is a new one inspired by the original, and a collection card with the same illustration is also included. It's a retro charge-up for your collection -- order yours today!
